Founder
Gary McNeil brings his comprehensive industry experience to McNeil Scientific. With over 35 years in biotech, he led efforts across discovery R&D, downstream process development, analytical services, and GMP manufacturing before eventually founding McNeil Scientific in 2007.
Cathy McNeil has been a part of MSC since its inception. As Lab Manager, she is the driving force that utilizes her previous career in the medical/dental field to bring exceptional attention and results to every task and project.
Together, they grew their initial hands-on consulting company into a full Contract Research Organization (CRO) laboratory with depth, practicality, and a collaborative spirit. Service is their calling, and challenges are their inspiration

6000 Square Foot, 25 miles from Boston
Our 6000 sq ft facility is located just outside of Boston in Marlborough, MA. Our Same-Day Courier Service can pick up or deliver in the area within hours!
Less than 5 min from Routes 495, 9, 20, 290 and the Mass Turnpike
- All labs are BSL2 and HEPA filtered. BSC for liquid form/fill.
- AKTA 10, 100 and Pilot 400 chromatography. UFDF.
- Major focus on proteins/mAb/VLP. Boutique projects, too!
Manufacturing/Quality mindset, but more agile and without the cost
- Written SOP, Work Instruction/Forms, BR documentation, ELN.
- Line Clearance and segregated in-process storage.
- Cleanroom procedures (ISO 8).
